UmmelGroup Sponsors Enterprise Project Management Summit in Seattle

(August 1, 2004) UmmelGroup International, Inc. co-sponsored the 2004 Enterprise Project Management Summit, in Seattle, WA on July 19-21.  The venue was the beautiful Grand Hyatt Hotel in historic downtown Seattle, with crystal clear skies and temperatures in the 80’s accenting the entire week.

Participants included middle to senior-level managers from a variety of organizations, including area Fortune 500 firms such as Boeing and Microsoft.  The event included a number of noted speakers and authors on the subject of Project Management and the PMO, including “the father of EPM”, Mr. Paul C. Dinsmore (Dinsmore and Associates), and Gerald Kendall (Theory of Constraints International).

Here, (from left) Paul Dinsmore, Richard Larson (Principle, Watermark Learning), and UmmelGroup President Mitchell Ummel, compare notes following one of the presentations.   Mitchell’s presentation at the conference was entitled “EA and EPM Collide”, and explored the synergy/convergence among today’s  most critical IT project improvement strategies.
